Pearl has life commitment to ensuring people rights are acknowledged and respected.

She has a repeatedly demonstrated her passion for Indigenous Australians to have equitable access to justice and legal representation.

She has worked as a lawyer at the Aboriginal Legal Services in New South Wales and Broome, Western Australia.

Pearl has worked as a sessional lecturer at University of New South Wales in criminal law and social justice law.

Currently she is Program Manager helping to run the Legal Diploma at Tranby Aboriginal College.

Her research interests are criminal law, social justice and Indigenous rights, international law and transitional justice.

She also has worked as an Advocacy Advisor at local non-governmental organisations in Cambodia, involving working with local Khmers and remote ethnic communities to access their rights.

She has worked as a lawyer at the Legal Aid Commission in the Northern Territory assisting asylum seekers with the Judicial Review.

Pearl Beaumont has a Bachelor in Laws and Bachelor in Arts from Monash University, and a Masters of Human Rights and Democratisation (Asia Pacific) from Sydney University.
